2018 – A Retrospective
A review of Hayes and Partners’ 2018 highlights, including planning achievements, awards success and the projects on track for completion in the new year.
Throughout 2018 Hayes and Partners have continued to build on their strong reputation and outstanding record of success in obtaining planning permission for difficult sites, historic or Listed Buildings.
The practice’s major strength is their knowledge and experience of the planning process. In every project they maximise the value of a site, finding development opportunities within the framework of local and national planning policy.
This year Hayes and Partners have enjoyed many planning triumphs; including permission for a very large replacement dwelling in Cheshire East, nine apartments in lieu of a single storey car dealership and seven affordable dwellings within a Green Belt village in Cheshire West. They have also achieved consent for a contemporary rural conversion and farm dwelling, despite both being within the Jodrell Bank Consultation Zone.
Personal Service with Bespoke Solutions
Hayes and Partners has no ‘house style’. The practice listens to each individual client’s brief, and responds to the site context, views and orientation. This leads to a diverse range of architectural approaches where no two designs are the same. This is evident with their most recent projects and the array of styles covered; from a neo Georgian brick and stone country mansion to a contemporary aluminium and glass barn conversion. Whatever the solution – vernacular or modern – you can trust Hayes and Partners homes to be the best examples of their type.
By reviewing the practical and logistical aspects of construction, ‘buildability’ is considered from the outset. Hayes and Partners can offer a full architectural package, from feasibility to contract administration, interiors advice and procurement. Using the strong collaborative relationships they have with other professionals, such as local engineers and landscape architects, they are able to guide clients from start to finish, making the design journey as smooth as possible.
This September Hayes and Partners were officially shortlisted at the Daily Telegraph Homebuilding and Renovating Awards in the ‘Best Conversion’ category for their project The Dovecote.
The design is a perfect balance of rural and contemporary, cleverly mixing original features with meticulous detailing. Following completion, it was quickly snapped-up by a local family who are now enjoying uninterrupted views of the Cheshire countryside in their stunning home.
