Scope

Planning application for two new dwellings

Completion

Consent granted 2013

The site comprised a bungalow with extensive garden to the side and rear of the plot.  The client was finding the garden increasingly hard to maintain and wanted to sell the garden for development, whilst remaining in the house.

Hayes & Partners was appointed to investigate the development opportunities and to apply for the necessary related planning consents.  The first exercise was to obtain permission for extensions and alterations to the existing bungalow, to include an attached garage to the front.  This then allowed the demolition of the existing detached garage, which had compromised the proposed development area.

Once the development area was ‘cleared’, Hayes & Partners then applied for, and in January 2013 was granted, consent for two detached dwellings.
