Planning for 7 new dwellings
Hanging Gate Court
Hayes & Partners have obtained planning consent for seven new homes at a site on Sandy lane, Weaverham, next to the Hanging Gate pub. The proposals comprise two-bedroomed cottages which are to be let (and later sold) as Affordable Housing. The development lies within the Green Belt and Weaverham Conservation Area (Cheshire West Chester Council).
The approved cottages are similar in size and appearance to other nearby properties, and as such, will retain and complement the character of the village. Traditional construction materials will be used; with painted render walls and blue slate roofs. The designs also include traditional features, such as chimney stacks and gabled porches.
Four of the cottages will face the highway in semi-detached pairs, while a further three cottages will be set back from the road. The development will be set out around a shared courtyard which accommodates allocated parking spaces for each home and vehicle turning space. Each cottage will have a side or rear garden in excess of 10m in length.
